Mother’s Day is just 8 days away. I thought I would share some of my favorite places to shop for gifts that are different but loved. Many of the places below are places where I have found some gift that have quickly turned into someone’s favorite.
Keep scrolling to see my top places for great gift shopping.
Ten Thousand Villages is a store that started in 1946. They travel the world and make sure that Artisans get paid a fair price for the work. They want to make an effort to educate about various artists around the world. Ten Thousand Villages started the Global Fair Trade Movement. You can find some great handmade pieces here and each piece comes with a story. I have several pieces of jewelry from here and always get compliments when I wear them. I have also found some great gifts that people always love.
I am shop from QVC quite often. I have never been disappointed with what I have bought. They have great packages that end up being cheaper than many other places. I just bought this camera when they had sale and it was a lot cheaper than if I would have bought it at other places. The camera itself would have cost more than the bundle QVC is offering. Then everything else on top of this. QVC is great at things like that. A lot of people just don’t realize how broad of an offering QVC really is. Cosmetics (brands found in department store and cosmetic boutiques), electronics, and every day items as well. Some of their cosmetics actually come with the brush included! Which ends up being a great savings! Head on over and see what you can find.
Uncommon Goods is another great place for finding Unique Goods. They got started when the found was at a craft show at the Smithsonian craft fair. They have a variety of products available. Personal, household, food, and more are here. They always have products that are interesting and amusing along with being useful.
Unique Market is another great place. They are a pop up market located in different cities throughout the year. If you live in Los Angeles they are holding a market this weekend (California Market Center), just in time for Mother’s Day. They bring together lots of great local Artisans in one place. Last one they had in LA I walked away with a photograph, food, and stationary. There is an excellent mix of products. You do have to buy a ticket to get in, but it is worth it.
The Bouqs are a great flower company. They price you see on the flowers is the price you pay for flowers, shipping, delivery, etc. There are no hidden prices when you check out. They are a sustainable company with the flowers coming straight from the farm. Since they come straight from the farm it does take a bit of planning so you will need to order them in advance. This also allows the flowers to stay fresh with the recipient longer. I was just on their website and it looks like a few options that will arrive for Mother’s Day.
Etsy is another place that I love. You can find so many things on this site and it is so easy to get lost. I can’t tell you how many times my best friend and I have sent things back and forth that we have found. Sometimes when we do this a good amount of times goes by, but we always come across interesting and fun items. You start looking at one thing, and next thing you know some time has gone by and you don’t remember what you started looking for. It is just as easy to lose track of time on Etsy as it is on Pinterest. All the sellers I have alway encountered have always been more than willing to answer any questions I have about the product(s). I am even planning on doing a post about some of my favorite Etsy sellers in the coming weeks.
Honest Beauty is quickly becoming my new favorite beauty brand. I have super sensitive skin and dry skin. The Honest Beauty products have not been irritating my skin. The products have actually been helping my skin! They have bundles where you can pick any 3 products you want for $50, which makes their products more affordable. What is great about their bundles it that you can order or not order as many times as you want. So if you are low and need to order multiple bundles this month, order as many as you want. If you don’t need anything, you just go online and push your bundle date back. You can also find their products in Ulta. (Ulta doesn’t offer the bundles, but they offer other sales) If you live in Los Angeles they have a retail store at The Grove (in the lobby concierge) and they do the bundles in store too!
Tell me! What are you favorite places to shop for Mother’s Day gifts? I can tell you what I got my Mom came from store(s) in this list! I know she will love them!
